WHO WE ARE
The International Club (I-Club) of Colby College was founded in the late 1970s and is one of the founding clubs of the Pugh Center which was established in 1996. The club consists of a board of eleven elected students: five on the executive board and six on the general board. The board works to provide for the international community of more than two-hundred-and-fifty students and ___ nationalities by organizing events, providing resources and acting as a bridge to the wider Colby community; at the same time, the club members are a crucial support to the growth and expansion of the club.

Although we are called the “International” Club, this club is not strictly for international students only - anyone on campus who is interested is welcomed to join. We aim not only to create a safe space for the international community but also create ways by which everyone else in the Colby community can interact with and get to know the international students and faculty.

WHAT WE DO & HOW WE DO IT
Mission: To create a comfortable space on campus for international students.
Colby's Diversity Statement writes, "The College also is committed to fostering a fully inclusive campus community, enriched by persons of different races, gender identities, ethnicities, nationalities, economic backgrounds, ages, abilities, sexual orientations, political beliefs, and spiritual values. We strive to confront and overcome actions and attitudes that discourage the widest possible range of participation in our community, and we seek to deepen our understanding of diversity in our daily relationships and in our dealings as an institution."
As a part of the Colby community and our continued efforts in enriching the conversations around diversity, I-Club is committed to enacting and promoting this statement through our events, collaboration with other on-campus clubs and faculty as well as this website.

We hope to build and strengthen the connection between the international students and the wider Colby community through our events and partnerships.

Our goals for 2019-2020 is as below:
1. Strengthening the bond between different class years
2. Expanding and creating more resources
